My mum has a horse and he's only 5. He's a dutch warmblood and is really cute and funny. He's a bit too big for me to ride him but I am going to ride him soon! At the moment he's about 16.2hh which means sixteen hands high and two inches. There are four inches in a hand so he would be about 68 inches to his withers (if my maths is correct... probably not!). He's dark bay and very cute, I love him very much!

At the moment I don't have a picture of him, but I'll take a photo of him soon.

On Tuesday I was riding a pony called bonnie (not mine) and my mum was giving me a jumping lesson. Bonnie's owner is very busy and sometimes doesn't always get to ride understandably so Bonnie can sometimes be a bit fresh. And she has this massive leap when shes jumping, and i can just feel that she could jump massive things. Anyway, she leaped over the jump and i lost my balance on the landing and fell. I landed on my lower back (bad place to land) and hit my head (thankfully that was helmeted) and cut my chin! So now, I am lying in bed blogging, aching like mad everywhere and very sore! =-()

why am I doing this blog?

I am doing this horse and pony blog because I love them. I have been in the saddle since I was about 2-3 years old and my mum has been riding sine she was about 11. She is a riding instructor and obviously taught me almost everyday! I just want to do a blog for all those horsey people out there and I thought it would be fun!

In this blog I will not purposely hurt anyones feelings and all people I talk about I will ask their permission first.
